Samsung N150 10.1-Inch Netbook (Black Matte) Reviews
I just received this item as a birthday present - because I have extremely cool friends -, and I am doing this review on it...and maybe it's because I'm new to these wonders (I continue to hang onto my electric typewriter), but I can't find one thing to really complain about with this guy. Yes, the keyboard takes getting used to if you've been using typewriters or paying somebody else to do your paperwork for most of your life (I have never really gotten into any kind of computers because of vision problems, but within reason, I can use them pretty routinely, now)...but even that only took a week or so to adapt to. Again, I'm not learned enough to understand the different keyboard quality yet, but after I got used to this size board, I really liked the sturdiness of the keys, etc. I'm old enough to remember keyboards where you sat there and hit a letter three or four times before it 'clicked', so I was surprised at the advancements made. Other reviewers note all the pre-loaded stuff, and I completely agree with them: Get rid of the majority of it. I haven't used the cam yet, but it's there, and I'm very happy with command response time (from what I've experienced in my limited history). If I do want to backpedal and find a tiny problem, it's more because of a personal physical disability: I don't hear all that well out of my right ear due to an injury, and even using the earphone jack, I wish the sound was a little better. But this is all somewhat petty, in my opinion, and I really just wanted to add my own personal thoughts - if I can't help in more old-veteran-advice, maybe I can represent those who literally know how to turn a computer on, and that's it, at first - because that was me. This is easy to learn on, and I am very, very happy with it; hope my thoughts are helpful!

Netbook for Travel - La Magasineuse -
I purchased this netbook from Amazon after seeing it used by a friend. Unfortunately, the newer model doesn't have the same keyboard as the earlier one. I touch type, and the keys are now flat instead of curved. This causes mistakes if I type fast. In addition, the battery life is only about five hours. It was my understanding that this had a seven-hour battery. I do like its size and weight, and it's very handy for travel, which is my only reason for its purchase. I added extra memory, but I don't plan on using the netbook for any involved computer work. Windows 7 Starter Edition works fine for me.
