My dad had a pair of Harmon Kardon soundstick 1's for his old G5. Couple years later, I'm in college and in need of a new pair of computer speakers. There was really only one choice.br /br /Installation is hassle free, no device drivers or anything. Connect each pylon to a joint receiver, attach that to the subwoofer, power the whole thing up and plug it in. Super simple. br /br /The bass in this thing is incredible. It is very clear, not muddled at all. Volume control is controlled by one pillar with a touch sensitive panel... nothing actually to push down. The bass is controlled on the subwoofer itself; a little troublesome if you tuck the subwoofer in a corner and have to reach down with your hand. HK says that theres 20 watts in the subwoofer and 10 in each pylon... trust me, it won't matter because you will easily be able to hear bass. br /br /Harmon Kardon is excellent in making audio equipment; they deck out the Mercedes S550 class so if Mercedes trusts them you probably can too. br /br /Pros: br /+ Excellent sound qualitybr /+ Very simple installationbr /+ Amazing Bass responsebr /+ Unique Designbr /br /Cons:br /- Design might turn some people offbr /- Subwoofer control is located on the subwooferbr /- Cable length is not especially longbr /br /Overall, I'm very happy I purchased these speakers. Memories of home + great sound quality (this coming from a classical musician) = happy purchase.

I purchased these speakers for my new computer. The sound quality is far superior to the standard speakers that came with my old computer. And my old speakers where square and clunky. These speakers are narrow, which saves a great deal of space on my small desk. Highly recommended!
